The company Automotive Interior World has co-operation with partners of all fields of economy and research, concerning the interior and exterior.
Currently AIWP is busy developing new polymeric material for the plastic injection moulding method and innovative processes for the production of light and at the same time more durable interior parts, such as for handbrakes, gear levers and parts for door panels made of carbon – strengthened ABS. Reason for this is the recycling of carbon waste, arising during the production process respectively the scrapping of vehicles. Significant advantages emerging from these facts are for example the reduced amount of waste combined with minimized costs for disposal and the elimination of the new production of fillers. This way the CO² emission in the manufacturing chain is being reduced in a great measure.
Another current main task of research and development in the company AIW is the surface grafting of plastic parts. The aim is to replace the poisonous (use of chrome-6) and expensive electroplating method, requiring a lot of energy for the production and disposal, by a fast and easy to regulate production process. By using the most modern UV-lacquers the quality of the surface was improved so essentially that it was determined to be used in the interior and exterior of vehicles. As soon as these goals are reached, the way for using it in other branches will be open, e.g. cosmetics or entertainment electronics. The entire aspect of environment with waste water treatment and protection of the environment during the process of plating is the main task in this project.
